SKU:Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425

Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 and 5425R whisper quiet 24-place microcentrifuges offer an outstanding set of features for a broad range of molecular and cell biology applications in Eppendorf and PCR tubes from 0.2 to 5 mL. The refrigerated Centrifuge 5425 R provides precise temperature control for processing temperature-sensitive samples with its advanced cooling system.

The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 R has ergonomic controls and a large choice of rotors, with a maximum speed of up to 21,300 × g. This makes the centrifuge perfectly suited for all modern molecular biology applications in Eppendorf and PCR tubes from 0.2 to 5 ml.

Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425/5425 R Features:

  • Whisper quiet microcentrifuge for stress-free work
  • Aerosol-tight Eppendorf QuickLock® lids for simple and safe handling
  • Outstanding software features (e.g. 10 acceleration and braking ramps, 3 program buttons, short function without continuous pressing of the key)
  • Extended rotor program (e.g. 5.0 mL rotor, swing-bucket rotor for PCR strips)
  • OptiBowl® designed for quiet operation, even without a rotor lid
  • Soft-touch one-finger lid closure for ergonomic operation
  • Automatic lid opening at the end of the run – prevents sample warming and allows easy access to samples
  • Max. rotor capacity: 10 × 5.0 mL vessels
  • Max. speed: 21,300 × g (15,060 rpm)

The advantages of the Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425/5425 R

As the successor to the popular Centrifuge 5424 R, this new model includes everything you loved about the previous model, plus new rotors and software features to make your daily work more efficient, more pleasant, and, above all, quieter: this quietest centrifuge in the Eppendorf range is ideal in labs in which many people and devices work simultaneously.

The R model has all the functions of the 5425, with the addition of temperature control options and minimal vibration production due to the patented compressor technology. This centrifuge is available with or without EU/IVD compatibility.

The improved cooling system of the Centrifuge 5425 R ensures optimal separation results and reliable cooling at 4 °C, even at maximum rotor speed. With a short pre-cooling time of only 8 minutes (~21°C to 4°C), the centrifuge is ready to use when you are.

The six different rotors now cover an even wider range of applications, including molecular biology applications such as DNA/RNA or protein purification in 1.5 or 2.0 ml tubes or spin columns and pelleting of bacteria, yeast, and cell cultures in 5 ml tubes. The protein purification also in micro-volume protocols such as pre/post PCR and qPCR setups in 0.2 ml tubes, 8-well strips, or 96-well split plates. The Eppendorf Centrifuge is Your Laboratory Centrifuges Solutions

A comprehensive range of 6 centrifuge rotors

The comprehensive range of 6 rotors broadens the spectrum of applications of this microcentrifuge. For the first time, it includes a swing-bucket rotor that accommodates 96 PCR tubes for quick centrifugation of droplets and condensate before and after PCR/qPCR. When you harvest bacteria and yeast, a fixed-angle rotor for 10 x 5 mL tubes with screw or snap caps is ready.

Protect tube caps during centrifugation

The Eppendorf Kit rotor F-45-18-11-Kit enables centrifugation of samples in 18 x spin columns and 1.5 or 2.0 mL tubes at a maximum speed of 18,565 x g. This unique rotor offers a solution for the most common problem associated with working with MiniPrep spin-column kits, open tube lids shearing off during elution steps.

This problem traditionally occurs because standard rotors do not provide enough support for open tube lids during centrifugation. However, the Eppendorf Kit rotor is designed with an extended rim that rests for tube caps during centrifugation and protects them from shearing off. Your tube lids will no longer tear off during centrifugation!

Centrifuge rotor adapters for multiple applications

The Eppendorf Rotor FA-10 x 5 makes harvesting of bacteria, yeast, or cell culture in Eppendorf Tubes 5.0 mL and the purification of DNA or RNA and plasmid DNA easy. The adapters, which are also available, also allow the centrifugation of 1.5 or 2 mL tubes and HPLC and Cryo tubes without even changing the rotor.
