Hach DR3900 is a benchtop visible spectrum (320 – 1100 nm) split beam spectrophotometer with over 220 preprogrammed methods optimized for laboratory water analysis.
With your daily routine of water analysis in mind, the DR3900 spectrophotometer is optimized for safe processes and accurate results. Control parameters like Ammonium, COD, Phosphate, Nitrate, and many others are easy to perform. The handling of tests and spectrophotometers is well-designed to avoid any errors in your water analysis.
The DR3900 is designed to deliver accurate results quickly with Hach’s innovative TNTplus and LCK reagents, which are optimized around. The DR 6000 spectrophotometer has a UV lamp, while the DR 3900 does not.
- Sample preparation: reduced handling steps, precise dosing
- Sample analysis: automatic test recognition, expiration date check, etc.
- Utilization of the new Truecal software to eliminate lot-to-lot variation
- Documentation of results: versatile data management
Hach DR3900 Features:
- Feature over 220 preprogrammed procedures for water analysis
- Options available for EPA-compliant test parameters
- TNTplus tests offer RFID technology that automatically updates your calibration factors when the test box is placed near the instrument.
- The instrument takes ten readings of one sample to reduce error and remove outliers.
- Upgraded unit with RFID
DR3900 will allow you to control the entire measurement process: from sampling to saving the result. The robust sample and operator registration system is now complemented by wireless tag technology – RFID. Now you do not need to remember who, when, what sample was taken, and with what reagent – the device will reflect on its own.
The packaging of the cuvette tests will also receive an RFID tag containing information about the measurement process and the expiration date. When changing the measurement process, the device reads the data independently. Measurement results are easy to read on the large color touch screen.
User management, timers, and settings are now always available. The new IBR+ barcode scanner now reads the cuvette’s method number and expiration date.
Accuracy check routines are already built in. Measurement results can be transferred to a flash drive as a CSV file via USB, and the instrument can also be connected to a local network via standard Ethernet.
Benefits
Simple Preparation
TNTplus vials use Dosicaps – freeze-dried reagents integrated into sealed caps – that are easier to use than Powder Pillows or Liquid Reagents without any risk of contamination. The boxes and vials are color-coded for a fast and easy parameter and range recognition of the test you need. Step-by-step illustrated test methods are printed on the box as a quick reference and can be called up in the instrument menu.
Comprehensive Documentation
Measurement results are detailed with a timestamp, operator ID, absorbance reading, and calculated concentration. The 2D barcode delivers the lot number and expiry date, logged with every result. For your accreditation, the certificate of analysis can be called up just by wiping the reagent box toward the RFID* sensor.
Fast Execution
The Hach DR spectrophotometer automatically reads a 2D barcode on the TNTplus vial to identify the appropriate method and take the measurement.
The vial spins to take 10-fold absorbance readings that will be averaged for result determination to exclude scratches and fingerprints. Instrument calibration verification and high instrument stability eliminate the need to run reagent blanks.
Customizable
With the ability to store hundreds of user-determined methods, operators can tailor the DR3900 to meet the everyday needs of the plant.
Optimizing and customizing the method portfolio, combined with regular software updates and Claros connectivity, makes the DR3900 the ultimate solution to water quality lab needs.
These spectrophotometers revolutionize instrument calibration with optional RFID technology. When placed near the scanner, the RFID model will recognize a TNTplus test, automatically comparing your individual calibration information to the factory-installed calibration curve. This results in a more efficient, accurate instrument.
On top of that, the unit has 220 preprogrammed methods ready to go. This makes running any standard test parameter easy and painless. The units have flexible connectivity and have one Ethernet and three USB ports. It is already set up to interface with the Hach WIMS™ system for data management and storage.
