Original price was: $7,499.00.Current price is: $5,099.00.

SKU:Cary 60

Cary 60 is a modification of the Cary 50 spectrometer and has a lot of useful innovations, including two moving parts and a long-lived xenon lamp. These system components facilitate the device’s operation and significantly reduce its production cost (as a result, the spectrometer is relatively cheap).

The Agilent Cary 60 is equipped with the latest Cary Win UV software, which has a modular structure that allows the researcher to assemble instrument elements as the situation requires.
Whether it is industrial material quality control or scientific research related to the measurement of kinetic dependences, the spectrometer will cope with the task of any complexity.

Advantages:

  • High-intensity, focus-accurate beam provides kinetic data up to 80 points per second and is designed to work with fiber optic sensors. At the same time, using cuvettes is not necessary for measuring liquid samples.
  • The maximum scanning speed is 24000 nm/min, which makes it possible to study the entire wave spectrum in less than 3 seconds.
  • The total continuous measurement time is 5 days, making this spectrometer indispensable in analyzing the kinetic dependences of slow reactions.
  • A microcuvette in the kit allows you to study small volumes (<4 µl) of samples. This is a very useful quality when analyzing valuable biological and chemical samples.
  • A pulsating Xe-lamp in the kit allows the analysis of samples sensitive to light. The secret of the operation of this equipment is in the short-term irradiation of the sample with a wave with a narrow frequency interval.
  • The high scanning speed of the Cary 60 allows you to examine the same sensitive sample several times without harming it.
  • The design of the optical elements has been specially developed so that the sample can be measured even with the sample compartment open. This device property greatly facilitates the work with samples of large sizes or complex shapes. And special holders will help you securely and stably fix any sample.
  • You can configure the device according to your needs with the help of special attachments, which are presented in a wide range for Cary 60. You can combine “native” modules and set-top boxes from other manufacturers.

Features:

  • Reduce time-consuming and expensive lamp replacements, and minimize instrument revalidation costs with the unique Agilent xenon source lamp.
  • Safely measure life-science samples without sample photodegradation and ensure you always get the correct answer with the Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer.
  • Get reliable UV-Vis spectrophotometer performance with fiber-optic measurement probes. Why use cuvettes when you can bring the UV-Vis instrument to the sample and get accurate results in a fraction of the time?
  • Measure small volumes and precious samples accurately and reproducibly with a highly focused beam image.
  • Scan the entire wavelength range (190 to 1100 nm) in under three seconds and collect data from single or multiple wavelengths at 80 data points per second.
  • Take advantage of the Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer’s comprehensive range of accessories to accurately characterize the widest variety of liquid and solid samples.
  • Tailor the Cary WinUV software to suit your analytical requirements. From the classroom to research laboratories through R&D and regulated QA/QC environments, simplify your UV-Vis spectroscopy measurements and finish more in less time.
  • Choose sustainability: The Cary 60 UV-Vis received My Green Lab’s ACT (Accountability, Consistency, Transparency) label after an independent audit for its environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.

Applications

Pharma and biopharma

Cary 60 UV-Vis system versatility makes it ideal for many applications. The wide range of accessories extends the Cary 60 capabilities to accurately, reliably, and easily measure a diverse range of sample types. Rapid and remote measurements using fiber optic probes eliminate the need for cuvettes, reducing sample loss and user error and increasing productivity. The 18-cell changer allows for automated high-throughput analysis of liquids, including color or concentration measurements.

Teaching and research

The Cary 60 UV-Vis is the ultimate lab essential for teaching and research setups. In a multiuser setting, the Cary 60 is a robust and reliable system that prevents downtime and reduces the risk of compromised data. The system can be equipped with various accessories and sampling devices—including rapid mix and stopped-flow accessories—extending your UV-Vis measurement capabilities. The use of the Cary 60 is easy to learn—requiring minimal training—making it ideal for introducing students to the fascinating world of UV-Vis spectroscopy.

Cary 60 UV-Vis – The Power of Xenon

The Cary 60 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer contains a powerful Xenon lamp that emits 80 flashes per second. The xenon lamp illuminates only the sample during data acquisition, preventing the degradation of photosensitive samples and reducing power consumption. A highly focused beam is ideal for accurate and reproducible measurements of small sample volumes.

Cary 60 UV-Vis – Unaffected by room light

The Cary 60 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer uses a unique optical design immune to room light’s distorting effects. This room’s lightfastness allows measurements with fiber optic probes outside the sample compartment. In addition, the Cary 60 can be easily operated with the sample compartment open, reducing the risk of data quality degradation due to operator error.

Cary 60 UV-Vis – reliable and flexible
